During your hang gliding experience you will have the opportunity to see some of Rio's most popular scenic views including Corcovado (Christ statue), Sugar Loaf, the Tijuca National Forest as well as the famous beaches of Ipanema, Leblon and Copacabana. You will fly over the São Conrado neighborhood, surrounded on one side by the Atlantic Rain Forest and the curious granite mountain peaks of Pedra da Gavea and Pedra Bonita and on the other by the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

The adventure begins at the picturesque Pedra Bonita hang gliding ramp with an instructional briefing where you will learn the hang gliding basics from our experienced and certified pilots. You will be fully oriented regarding all the safety procedures; safety is our number one objective and we will enforce the guidelines rigorously.

You then launch by doing a short synchronized sprint off of the ramp and into the blue sky. It is a truly exhilarating experience as you feel the hang glider support you when you reach the end of the ramp. This is an experience that you will never forget. The Pedra Bonita hang gliding ramp is located in the Tijuca National Forest which means that you may also encounter some of the native wildlife such as toucans and monkeys.

Your flight is fully documented by our special remote control wing tip camera. Your pictures will be a great souvenir of this very special event during your holidays in Rio.
