Pedra Bonita
Our most popular destination is Pedra Bonita (Pretty Rock) with its summit at 693 meters (2,273 ft.). Here you will be able to experience everything that the Atlantic Rainforest has to offer while hiking on a historic trail. You will have the opportunity to see wildlife such as monkeys and snakes as well as many tropical birds such as toucans, parakeets and a wide array of smaller song birds. You will also be able to see first hand some of the tropical species of trees and other plants.

While on the summit you will enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro's breath taking mountain range. You will be face-to-face with Pedra da Gavea (Gavea Rock) at 844 meters (2,769 ft.), the incredible rock formation with naturally carved facial features that give Pedra da Gavea a mystical appearance.

Tijuca National Forest
The Tijuca National Forest is known as the largest urban forest in the world. Located in the heart of the city, this 3300 square meter park offers limestone caves, waterfalls, exotic wildlife, diverse fauna and lots of historical landmarks. Also located within the park is Pico da Tijuca (Tijuca Peak), this is Rio's highest summit at 1,021 meters (3,350 ft). From this high point you will have a 360º view of the entire city and it's many landmarks as well as see across the bay to Niteroi. This is a trek that you will never forget.
